This code sample allows you to trace what code is getting called and what it does. Beware: it generates huge tracelog files, so don't use it without plenty of available space.
Usage:
from trace import trace import mymodule trace(mymodule) mymodule.dostuff()
Fuzz for better differencing (ignore variable locations, tmpfile locations, and int vs. long representation distinctions):
sed -r -e "s@ at 0x[0-9a-fA-F]+>@>@g" -e "s@/tmp/tmp[a-zA-Z0-9_-\\.]+@/tmp/tmpfile@g" -e "s@([ =-][0-9]+)L@\\1@g" -i $file
Download the code.
