Oatmeal Crust
Makes a thick base for two pies, or a base and a top if you know what you're doing (I think; I don't know what I'm doing). From Cooks.com
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
Directions
- Toss together sugar, flour, and oatmeal.
- Pat into pie plates, or into one pie plate reserving crust for the top
- Bake at 375 for 20 minutes
Vanilla Berry
Makes two pies.
Ingredients
- 2 Pie crusts of choice (I used an oatmeal crust)
- 2 cups Vanilla pudding (I used an instant kind, requiring 2 cups milk)
- 2 cups mixed berries, fresh or frozen
Directions
- Prepare the crusts, if necessary
- Prepare the pudding, if necessary
- Spread the pudding over the crusts
- Top the pudding with the berries in no more than a single layer, as dense as you like. It's fine to spread them while still frozen if you won't be eating it immediately.
